Maison Alaïa was founded in 1964 in Paris by Tunisian designer Azzedine Alaïa, with the aim of celebrating the power of femininity and the timelessness of beauty. Alaïa immediately stood out for its avant-garde silhouettes: a narrow waist and accentuated bust, in fact, became the Maison's strong points. In 2017 Azzedine Alaïa died and in 2021 Pieter Mulier was appointed as the new creative director of the Maison: the search for perfection, so dear to Azzedine Alaïa, continues still today, putting at the center of the work women and their femininity.
